This October ACS provided assistance for a European prime minister who needed to get to an environmental conference in Up State NY from Manhattan where he was to be a guest speaker.Air Charter Service sourced a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter to transport the 8 passengers, including the prime minister, his aides and two secret service agents to the conference. This was a technical flight to arrange because of the tight security over Manhattan airspace. The flight had to be coordinated with the secret service in order to get clearance permission to use NYC helipads. It was vital to get the clearances so that there was no stop required en route, which would have delayed the passengers as they were on a very tight schedule. Where other helicopters would have to stop in order to get clearance to fly over Manhattan, ACS’ clients were able to fly straight through as Andy Christie had ensured that everything was in place before the flight took place.
